Little Georgia’s explosive live performances take you on a trip through time with their unapologetic sonic exploration that could see you moving your hips like go-go dancers at a Aretha Franklin concert or head bangin’ as if you were at a Neil Young & Crazy Horse gig.
The raw energy between collaborators Justin Carter and Ashleigh Mannix draws you into their live performances and encapsulates the honesty in their song craft. Whether it’s accompanying gentle acoustic folk songs or crazed out electric jams, their distinctive vocal harmonies tie their melting pot of influences together, creating a sound that is unique to Little Georgia.
The band’s discography includes two studio albums: “Bootleg” (2016) was recorded in a farmhouse and directly onto an old Tascam 2″ tape machine; and “All The While” (2018) was produced and engineered by Grammy award winner Nick DiDia.
In 2020, in the midst of international chaos, Little Georgia released “Texas”. The 6 minute psyched-out, grunge-tinged epic was coupled with an otherworldly cinematic experience, directed and filmed by award winning American cinematographer Matt Kleiner.
Their latest single “Dressed In Gold” was released more recently in 2022, receiving a great response with the sell out shows on its single tour and high rotation on Official Spotify playlists Rock On. and Alt Here.
No strangers to the road, Little Georgia have spent a great deal of time growing their sound and audience, performing between Australia, Japan and North America including sets at Americana Fest (Nashville), Folk Alliance (New Orleans), Byron Bay Blues & Roots Festival, Port Fairy Folk Festival, and more.
